Job Responsibilities

Golder Associates Ltd.’s South Burnaby office is looking for a technically and mechanically inclined team member to maintain, track, and distribute technical equipment. The successful candidate will also carry out accurate and efficient billing of equipment and will receive direction from senior team members.  Additional duties will include:

  • Coordinating proper packing, manifesting, and shipping of equipment and materials to job sites (mobilization and demobilization of field equipment);
  • Organizing, and maintaining equipment and equipment storage area;
  • Maintaining and tracking equipment and sample inventory into the appropriate database;
  • Shipping and receiving of domestic and international shipments;
  • Maintaining vehicles and trailers in good working;
  • Handling, storing, and disposing of chemicals used in research processes;
  • Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety protocols;
  • Communicating effectively with internal clients who include field staff, project managers, and external suppliers;
  • Various other duties as may be required;
  • Scheduled overtime and travel may be required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and skills:


  • Two to five years’ experience in a logistics or coordination role;
  • Shipping and Receiving experience; including TDG experience;
  • Technical and mechanical proficiency;
  • Aptitude for learning new detailed oriented skills (i.e. calibration of scientific equipment);
  • Pleasant, respectful and discrete manner; positive attitude and takes initiative;
  • Ability to learn processes quickly and be flexible in changing circumstances;
  • Excellent customer service skills to support both internal and external clients;
  • Verbal and written communication skills which meet client needs;
  • Detail-oriented with a sense of pride in quality work;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software;
  • Strong team player;
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills; ability to prioritize workload;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision to achieve given goals and tasks;
  • Require own vehicle and a valid class 5 BC driver’s license;

The following experience is considered an asset:


  • First Aid;
  • Forklift experience and ticket;
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques;
  • Diploma and/or relevant Degree from an accredited College or University or equivalent
